Architecture
KB Crawl can be built on two types of architecture: Workstation or Web Portal.
Workstation Architecture
KB Crawl offers a flexible and modular architecture installed on your monitoring users' workstations easily compatible with your information system. With the Single Workstation version, the software is installed with its database on the same workstation. With the Multiple Workstation version, the database is shared by several monitoring users.

KB Crawl allows you to process and monitor vast amounts of information. In order to provide such high performance, it comes with the Firebird open source database.
KB Crawl has been enriched with modules that can be installed on users' workstations and provide optimal tracking.

Overview of the Modules:
- KB Mail enables you to group and validate email alerts before they are sent.
- KB NavRecord enables you to record complex website browsing operations.
- KB Exchange helps you exchange collected data with other types of tools or publish information on an intranet.
- KB OCR uses OCR techniques to detect new features or keywords inside pictures (e.g. in scanned PDF documents).
KB Platform is based on the KB Crawl engine and it makes the most of monitoring on a Web interface. The Web Platform is managed by the monitoring users who filter the information before it is distributed to end readers, who then view information that has been customised according to their profile.
